Kate Hudson is taking a break from her boho chic roots to embody another iconic symbol of the 1970s: the disco ball. Stepping out for an appearance on Late Night With Seth Meyers to promote her new Netflix series, Running Point, the actress donned full body sparkles in the form of a semi-sheer sequin minidress. Most notably, the mini featured a large keyhole cutout that plunged all the way down to her waist.

Hudson's dress had a few other fun details, too: a twee Peter Pan collar, long sleeves, and a beaded fringe hemline. She paired the sparkly look with strappy silver heels and matching silver jewelry. Her hair was thrown up in an effortless messy bun.

Hudson stars in Running Point as Isla Gordon, a party girl who is unexpectedly put in charge of her family's pro basketball team. Created by Mindy Kaling, the show loosely mirrors the real-life story of Los Angeles Lakers President Jeanie Buss. Brenda Song, Drew Tarver, and Max Greenfield also co-star in the Netflix series.
"Jeanie was so cool. She was like, 'Have fun,'" Hudson told Meyers. "She gave us no boundaries. We could do anything we wanted, basically, which doesn't happen very often."

The show premiered in Los Angeles on February 13 and dropped on Netflix on February 27. For the premiere, Hudson dazzled in another metallic number, this time opting for a gold Roberto Cavalli gown with a thigh-high leg slit. In a matching moment, Kaling also wore a gold gown, hers courtesy of Rahul Mishra Couture.
