Radio star Jackie O divides royal fans after Meghan backflip

Radio listeners have accused Jackie O Henderson of 'jumping on the bandwagon' after she admitted to her new-found dislike of Meghan Markle this week.

Jackie O and co-host Kyle Sandilands were discussing Harry's latest project with Oprah Winfrey for the Apple TV+ documentary series The Me You Can't See, when the former revealed she thought Harry had "made a mistake with Meghan".

"The more I sit back and think about it, the more I don't like what happened there," Jackie said, referring to Harry and Meghan's first tell-all interview with Oprah Winfrey back in March.

"I think he's gone the wrong way anyway. I think he's made a mistake with Meghan."

Jackie had initially been publicly supportive of Meghan, expressing sympathy for the couple's mental health struggles, but it appeared the media personality had since changed her tune, clearly shocking Kyle.

"So you're anti-Meghan now?" he asked.

To which Jackie admitted: "A little"

Specifically, she explained, it was because of comments Meghan made about sister-in-law Kate.

"I don't like the way she threw Kate under the bus in that interview. I thought that was really unnecessary," Jackie continued.

"Don't throw her under the bus, because it's unnecessary! Like she even said, 'I don't dislike Kate, she apologised,' so really..."

Her comments divided opinion among the radio show's listeners and royal fans, with many taking to social media after the segment on Thursday to express their frustration or support.

Some accused Jackie of turning on the duchess because others were doing the same.

"Jackie who? Another hater jumping on the bandwagon," was one annoyed comment on Facebook.

"People will do anything to be in the limelight, especially jumping on Meg and Harry," another agreed.

However, others said they too had changed their opinion of the former Suits actress.

"I say well done Jackie O. It is hard to admit publicly that one was wrong," was one response.

While another wrote: "I am afraid in time more people will change their opinion of Mrs Markle."
