Jackie O backtracks after awkward sex question to NSW Origin star

Jackie 'O' Henderson sheepishly backtracked during an interview today after asking State of Origin star Latrell Mitchell an awkward question.

The South Sydney Rabbitohs star was with teammates, Josh Addo-Carr and Damien Cook, while being interviewed on the Kyle and Jackie O Show ahead of the first State of Origin game for the year.

Kyle Sandilands began the interview by asking what Latrell was doing in the lead up to the game and whether he was allowed to have sex

"Are you doing the normal pre-ritual stuff — no sex, abstaining from anything fun?" Kyle asked. "Or are you the opposite? You don’t get involved with that junk?"

"Yeah nah, total opposite of that mate," Latrell responded, telling hosts he was also with Josh and Damien.

"And what are you guys doing cruising around? Aren’t you supposed to be training, doing push-ups and s**t like that?" Kyle asked, to which Latrell said he'd done his push-ups in the morning and had had a coffee and that was the extent of his preparation so far.

"And now you’re just cruising Townsville for the talent?" the presenter joked.

"Oh my god," Jackie jumped in. "Are you allowed to pick up on Origin day? I feel like that would be against the rules."

Kyle tried to help her out by cutting in to say, "No, surely their wives would have a problem with that," while Latrell quickly told her, "I'm married, I'm married."

"Sorry, sorry! OK," Jackie said with Kyle telling her Latrell's wife listens to the show.

"Why don't you say hi?" he tells her.

"Hey!" she quickly responded, clearly a little embarrassed.

Kyle's final piece of advice to Latrell was simple: "Just get out there and f***ing smash these guys."

Bookies currently favour NSW to come out on top in game one of the series.
