Investigation into Meghan Markle's alleged bullying 'buried' by royals

After Meghan Markle’s alleged bullying of Buckingham Palace staff came to light, the Queen was quick to commission an investigation last March.

Due to the investigation results, the monarchy’s HR department has had an overhaul, being forced to change ‘policies and procedures'. However, sources told The Times that the findings will never be released as Buckingham Palace has ‘buried’ the inquiry.

As reported by the publication, the investigation was completed by an independent law firm and funded privately by the Queen.

Buckingham Palace is keeping the investigation secret partly to protect the privacy of the participants, and also to keep the relationship between the royal family and the Sussexes civil. This move to keep the findings under wraps has deeply disappointed some participants.

The Times previously reported that the Duchess of Sussex had made royal staffers cry and revealed that a bullying complaint had been laid against Meghan. The publication alleged that a royal aide told a colleague, “I can’t stop shaking,” while waiting for the Duchess to confront them.

Another aide added that Meghan had “humiliated” them, while a third told The Times that it felt more like “emotional cruelty and manipulation”.

Meghan’s spokesperson shot the bullying claims down last year, saying the Duchess was “saddened by this latest attack on her character, particularly as someone who has been the target of bullying herself.”

Prince Harry ‘absolutely furious’ with the royal family

This comes after Prince Harry is said to be “absolutely furious” with the royal family, after the way Harry and Meghan were treated at the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.

According to writer Angela Levin, who spent a year with the royal when writing his biography, told The Sun that Harry and his brother William didn’t meet privately during the four-day celebrations for their grandmother.

Angela spoke to The Sun, saying: “I think he would have been very, very upset that he was largely ignored. He still feels he’s owed an apology.

“But he’s the one that should apologise. He said during the Oprah interview that Charles and William were trapped, he said he’d been cut off by his father,” she continued.

“You can’t just go around being rude about people and expecting them to open their hearts to you again.”
