Internet Users Divided After a Stanley Tumbler Appears to Have Survived LA Fire: 'This Cannot Be True'
One TikTok user is sending the internet into a tailspin after claiming that their Stanley water bottle somehow remained intact while their home burned to ashes.
As seen in the now-viral clip posted to the social media platform in the wake of the devastating wildfires in Los Angeles, a user who goes by the name Alexus Wilkins shared footage of her walking through the rubble from what was left of her home, only to find her Stanley water bottle had made it out unscathed.

"When your house burns down and you go back to find one specific thing..." Wilkins wrote in the post, which showed someone else in the clip picking up the tumbler, which happened to be a product from Stanley's collaboration with country singer Lainey Wilson.
"IN THE LAINEY WILSON STANLEY WE TRUST!!!!!" the caption on the TikTok post read.
But while plenty of fans were mesmerized by the video—which isn't the first time a Stanley water bottle survived a destructive blaze—others were in disbelief, with one person arguing that Wilkins' video simply "cannot be real."
As many people noticed, in addition to the tumbler's stainless steel cup, the plastic cover and straw had also appeared to have stayed intact, which some users found "suspicious."
"No way did the straw not melt," someone else argued.
But once commenters began accusing the creator of "lying" about the situation and faking the video, Wilkins replied with a comment that read, "To think this is a lie is actually crazy...we lost almost everything we owned. Never would I get on here and just post for 'clout.'"
As for those who did believe the Stanley tumbler somehow did survive the flames, many users began imploring Stanley to "build houses" or design "keepsake crates" for storing valuables and important documents.
"Note to self, keep valuables inside a Stanley cup," another commenter added.
