Internet rips into guy for misogynistic dating ad posted online

We get it, it’s Valentine’s Day and maybe you’re still looking for love and you thought you’d put a call out to the universe, aka the internet, to find your perfect match.

Just don’t do what this guy did.

Describing himself as a “lost soul looking for love”, this 35-year-old from Canberra thought he’d be able to find his “girl” with an honest post on Facebook.

Instead though, the post has since gone viral for all the wrong reasons, and he’s been labelled a “misogynist” and “appalling”.

“If you’re between the ages of 19 and 23, are no taller than 5’1, weigh between 43-47kg, are Caucasian or maybe half-caste something exotic,” he requested in the post, which was shared alongside a photo.

“If you have a job, license, reasonably modern car, regularly gym (no skinny-fat girls thanks), have an ‘innie’ vagina, C-cup breasts, no cheap tattoos, no face piercings.

Have no ex-f*** buddies or ex-boyfriends who I know or know of and also are willing to move to Canberra to be my girl, have a good personality and sense of humour, never get bratty or start arguments over nothing, and are not insecure when I don’t come home all weekend, then please… hit me up,” he finished the post.

As you can expect, pretty much everyone was outraged, with thousands of comments calling out the guy for his “delusional” post.

“If I was an attractive, young woman aged 19-23, I wouldn’t settle for an entitled a**hole who was over a decade older than I was, when there are a lot of better options around,” one person commented.

“No wonder he’s lost. Lost in his own delusional world. Someone like that will never be happy,” another wrote.

“So he basically want a young, small, inexperienced woman who he can intimidate, gaslight and control. What a catch,” was another reply.
