Inside Kayla Itsines' surprise engagement party

Kayla Itsines was left in tears after being surprised by fiancé Tobi Pearce with an extremely lush engagement party.

Tobi had organised 130 of the couple’s family and friends to celebrate in a marquee decorated with white flowers, candles and fairy lights.

“I thought I was getting married when I first took off the blind fold, and I probably wouldn’t have minded if it was. But Tobi did just an amazing job. It was a beautiful night,” Kayla tells Yahoo Lifestyle.

“I said to him we should have got married. But he wants the big wedding. He wants all the family, and the family from Greece to come as well.”

Kayla revealed to her followers on Instagram that she had no idea what he was planning.

“He dropped me off at my friend’s dress shop, there was a makeup artist, hairdresser and 5 dress options on the table. I was thinking… what is GOING ON,” she wrote.

“He handed me a blind fold, 15 minutes later he walked me slowly into our house where he took OFF my blind fold and there was 130 family and friends around us in a marquee.

“I honestly just started crying.”

Kayla and Tobi got engaged back in April last year.

They are expecting their first child together – a baby girl – in May.

And the wedding is on the cards for 2020 at this stage.

“For the wedding we’re wondering if we do it in Greece, or Sydney because it’s pretty, or Adelaide. Definitely next year. And we’ll have a flower girl sorted,” Kayla tells us.
