Inside Gayle King's Son William Bumpus Jr.'s Oceanside Wedding Welcome Party: All the Exclusive Photos!
The intimate, oceanside gathering was followed by a "next level" ceremony at Oprah's home on June 2
Just like the ceremony, Gayle King’s son William "Will" Bumpus Jr.’s wedding welcome party was a stunning — and star-studded affair!
In a PEOPLE-exclusive look at the intimate, oceanside gathering Bumpus, 37, and his now-wife, Elise Smith, posed with King and her longtime friend, Oprah Winfrey, for a sweet snapshot.
The foursome were all smiles ahead of the couple's big day, which was held at Winfrey's California home on Sunday, June 2.

Other photos of the welcome party show Bumpus — whom King shares with ex-husband William Bumpus, along with daughter Kirby Bumpus, 38 — and Smith posing on the beach in matching slides printed with their engagement photos.
The couple complemented each other — and the ocean backdrop — in muted shades of blue as they cuddled up to each other.
Elsewhere in the evening, Bumpus spent time with his mom, twirling her around the dance floor.
Photos from inside the celebration show gorgeous decor featuring shades of baby blue, white and peach, with stunning florals by Emma Rose Floral.
King shared a video of the bride and groom singing along to Alicia Keys’ “If I Ain’t Got You” with the rest of their guests while musician Moses Lin played guitar. Another video showed the bride and groom dancing to Earth, Wind & Fire’s “September.”
"The night ended with an impromptu dance party in a room that didn’t have a dance floor! Black people always find a way—especially my family AND @moseslinmusic at the controls ! 💃🏽🕺🏽,” she wrote.
King, 69, first announced that Bumpus had tied the knot on CBS Mornings on June 4, stating that her "favorite son Will and my new favorite daughter-in-law Elise Smith tied the knot on Sunday.”
"Oprah, of course, was there, 'cause it was at Oprah's house," she continued, earning laughs from her colleagues. "It's always nice when she lets us use her house."

Sharing more details about the ceremony, King said that Smith wore a strapless Amsale gown and revealed that the newlyweds walked down the aisle to fireworks.
The journalist also explained that Sunday's nuptials were "strictly for family," but the couple will have "a big dance party for their friends later on."

The CBS co-anchor said her "favorite part" of the wedding was the exchange of vows. "They both wrote their own vows,” she revealed, “and at one point, Will said, 'I know the man I am, but with you, I know the man I want to be.' "

Bumpus's words gave King goosebumps, she said, adding, “I went, 'Where did that line come from?' "
“I have never seen a love like the two of them have,” she added. “You go to weddings and everybody is in love, but there was something about these two that I thought was very epic, it was next level.”
