The I’m A Celebrity cheating confession they couldn't air
The executive producer of I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! has revealed a former contestant accidentally confessed to cheating on his wife while on the show and begged for it to be taken out of the episode.
Alex Mavroidakis shared the story after being asked for his "go-to funny story" while being interviewed by Benjamin Norris on the TV Reload podcast.
"How can I tell this story without putting the person in it?" he said. "Everyone is going to know who I’m talking about."
"The celebrity in camp talked about a girl that he had been with, and he talked about specifics in terms of what he had been doing on that day, what time of the year it was," he continued.

However, after the celebrity told the story, he realised he'd just confessed to cheating and pleaded with producers not to air the whole scene.
"He then came running up to the Tok Toki straight after that conversation and was in the Tok Toki saying, ‘It’s OK for you to use that scene, but please don’t say the time or the place because I’ve just realised I was still married at the time'," the producer explained. "Basically he just outed himself."
It turns out the producers were happy to cut the scene, "Why would we throw him under the bus? If someone goes in and tells a story that is going to negatively affect their career, why would we run it? We all want them to be heroes.
"They’re all playing for charity and … the more you love them, the better the show is going to rate."
Fans were delighted when I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! returned to their screens last night on Channel 10 with a whole host of new faces.
Nine celebrities entered camp. They were: Grant Denyer, Paulini, Jack Vidgen, Travis Varcoe, Mel Buttle, Ash Williams, Abbie Chatfield, Toni Pearen and Jess Eva.
Viewers are convinced former AFL star Robert 'Dipper' DiPierdomenico will enter on Monday night.
The mystery celebrity set to enter camp was teased in a short clip, saying: "I think people see me as a bit of a character, easy to get along with."
"I love conversation, I love talking. I’m a lover, I’m not a fighter. If I fail, well, I fail, but I don’t fail."
