I'm a Celebrity fans lose it after Brooke McClymont farts in front of cameras

I'm a Celebrity viewers were left in hysterics after country music singer Brooke McClymont broke wind not only in front of her campmates, but in front of the entire country on national television.

The ARIA Award winner was packing her clothes in camp during the first episode on Monday when she turned to fellow contestant David Subritzky and admitted: "Oh, my God. I need to fart."

"You need to fart? Just fart then," David responded.

The 40-year-old then said "I'll try" and didn't hold back when she let one rip loud enough for everyone to hear. "That's gonna happen a lot," she then warned.

Viewers took to social media to laugh about the honest moment, with many praising Brooke for not hiding it.

"A fact as old as time: Farts will never not be funny," one person wrote.

While another said: "Normalise farting."

Others said they were becoming quick fans of Brooke and how relatable she was.

"I'm not much of a country music fan, but Brooke is becoming relatable every minute," one person wrote.

"Brooke is going to be the gift that keeps giving," another person.

While a third said: "Brooke is like my spirit animal."

It is the second year of hosting I'm A Celebrity in Australia, rather than South Africa, due to COVID restrictions, but given the British series was always filmed here, that's not a bad thing at all.

Channel 10 had been dropping hints for weeks about who would be flown into the Murwillumbah "jungle" for 20 nights of deprivation, disgusting challenges and a chance to charm the public into voting for them.

I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! continues Tuesday at 7.30pm on Channel 10.
