Husky's Howling Bath Time Meltdown Could Earn Him a Grammy
Although any dog can be dramatic, Huskies top the charts with their animated personalities. Happy or sad, they are powerless to hold back their deep emotions and serenade us with their songs.
Even though this enthusiastic Husky might be fond of swimming, taking a bath is not on his favorite list. While getting him there was a challenge; when the water was turned on, he ensured his parents thoroughly understood his objections. It sounded as if he was using words to express his woes.
Listen to the noise he made while getting suds up in this video from September 8:
What a performance! When Mom tells him it’s bath day, Titan (@imbluethesiberian) is ready to go, but his excitement doesn’t last when he soon realizes where he is. While he did his best to escape his fate, it wasn’t enough to stop Dad from lifting and carrying him inside the bathroom. Although he jumped up on his own, he quickly reconsidered, hoping he could still convince them that this activity was unnecessary. But to no avail.
When the water is on, his pitiful protests make it sound like he is saying “Help,” and the interpretation of “How could you do this to me?” matches his emotion. At one point, his howl seems to contend, “Help me, I’m melting.” LOL! Titan’s parents share that his big drama is why they suggest their groomer wear earplugs when he’s having his appointment, and it’s excellent advice. Those high-pitched screeches could almost crack crystal glasses!

How Often Do Double-Coated Dogs Need Baths?
According to Ethos Veterinary Health, double-coated breeds such as the Siberian Husky, Pomeranians, and Chow Chows should generally be bathed every 2-3 months. However, their thick fur makes daily brushing essential to keep them looking their best. The frequency of baths also depends on the dog’s activity level and any existing skin conditions.
This lively show amused people. Viewer @thompsonshaunalee remarked, “I’d be sleeping with one eye open, spare hooman!” Ha! That’s not a bad idea, at least for the first night. Many also inquired, “Titan, my friend, we’re all wondering why the pool & beach are ok but not the bath? Lol, he really sounds like he’s being tortured.” He does! Viewer @puppywuvs responded, “It’s just water, Mom says. But the spare human is spraying me with liquid sun! Help!” That appears to be how he describes it.
Although this good boy may not have enjoyed having a bath, it only took a few seconds for him to smile again once it was over. Hopefully, that also means he won’t hold a grudge for long.
