Hozier is postponing a couple of tour dates so he can focus on getting better.

On Monday, Aug. 26, the singer, 34, whose real name is Andrew Hozier-Byrne, announced on X (formerly known as Twitter) that he'd made the difficult decision to briefly pause his Unreal Unearth tour so he could recover from a recent virus.

He'd been due to take the stage at the First Interstate Arena in Billings, Montana on Tuesday, Aug. 27, before heading to perform at the Ford Wyoming Center in Casper, Wyoming on Wednesday, Aug. 28. However, Hozier confirmed both shows would now be taking place at a later date.

Prior to pushing back the two shows, he'd performed at Rogers Place in Edmonton, Canada on Saturday, Aug. 24.

“I want to thank each and every one of you for coming to a show during this run, and in particular those of you who have shown such kind support over the last number of nights while I’ve struggled vocally getting over a recent virus,” the "Take Me to Church" singer wrote in the post.

He added, “Although I’ve still really enjoyed getting to connect with you all from the stage, my voice just isn’t getting the chance it needs to recover properly."

“It breaks my heart to do this, but I’m going to have to postpone the next two shows in Billings MT (August 27th), and Casper WY (August 28th) to give my health and vocal chords every chance of recovery for the sake of the rest of the tour," the musician told fans.

"For those of you who cannot attend, a refund will be available from the point of purchase," the singer shared, adding, "I hope you can accept my sincere apologies for any inconvenience this causes. Thank you for your support and understanding."
