Honey Badger hasn't discussed family plans with Bachelor winner

Like many of the previous Bachelor stars, Nick Cummins, aka Honey Badger, is not only looking for love on the dating show, but hopefully a partner he can start a family with.

Speaking to Be ahead of the Channel Ten show’s premiere tonight, the 30-year-old says becoming a father is on his agenda.

“Yeah, I will be a dad for sure,” he says.

The curly-haired former Wallabies player goes on to admit that he hasn’t actually discussed having children in detail with the woman he picked in the final pre-filmed episode.

“I don’t know if we even spoke about that on the dates. We didn’t go on that many dates [on the show],” he tells Be.

“There’s conversations about what you’d want in the future and stuff but it’s not a very pressing issue.”

Nick is Australia’s sixth bachelor, following in the footsteps of Tim Robards, Blake Garvey, Sam Wood, Richie Strahan and Matty Johnson.

Tonight’s first episode of The Bachelor will see Nick meet the 25 women vying for his heart, and he admits he’s nervous about the nation’s reaction.

“There’s mixed emotions because I don’t know what’s going to come of it, as in how it’s going to look,” he says.

“I’m pretty confident it will come across well. There’s a bit of anxiety in there but at the same time I’m excited for it.”

The Bachelor premieres tonight at 7:30pm on Channel Ten.
