Home and Away star's sweet detail in newborn's name: 'Blessed'
Former Home and Away star Dan Ewing has welcomed his newborn baby girl to the world with fiancée Katrina Risteska.
Sharing the first photos of their baby girl, named Nevaeh Catherine Ewing, the actor penned a sweet tribute.
“My darling daughter. You were sent here by one very special guardian angel in particular, of that I am certain,” he started.
“Your beautiful mum, big brother Archie and I are so blessed you found your way to us. Welcome to the world little girl.
“22/07/2022, Nevaeh Catherine Ewing,” he wrote.
Nevaeh is a popular girl's name created by spelling 'heaven' backwards, making Dan's message even more poignant.

Alongside the photo of Nevaeh’s name announcement, he also included two photos from the hospital.
In the first, he’s looking lovingly at his baby and fiancée, and the second shows the star holding his newborn while beaming.
The SAS Australia star’s celebrity pals flooded his post with their congratulations.
“Awww Dan! So happy for you! She is absolutely beautiful! So much love to you and your fam,” wrote singer and actress Bonnie Anderson.
“Congrats brother! Wish you and the family nothing but health and happiness,” added Sydney Kings basketball player DJ Vasiljevic.
“Congratulations, she’s beautiful,” SAS star Jessica Peris commented.
Dan previously shared some stunning black and white maternity photos of himself and Katrina, calling the actress a ‘goddess’.
In one of his captions, he couldn’t help but make a joke, writing: “Me: I equally contributed to the creation of this life. Katrina Ritseska: Ok mate. 😂”
The star played Heath Braxton in Home and Away from 2011-2014, and along with onscreen brothers Brax and Casey, his character triggered a big uptick in ratings.
He has made a return to the soap three times since leaving, with the latest being in February 2021.
With Dean Thompson (Patrick O’Connor) on the show currently having ties to the River Boys, fans are always waiting patiently for the Braxton brother to make another cameo.
