Hollywood star Sofia Vergara looks completely unrecognisable in epic transformation
Sofia Vergara has transformed for a new role.
Hollywood star Sofia Vergara is one of the most recognisable actors on the planet but she looks completely different in photos from her new role.
The 51-year-old former Modern Family star is set to appear in a six-part limited Netflix series about Colombian businesswoman Griselda Blanco, called GRISELDA.
In newly-released images from the show, Sofia's hair has been chopped into a shorter ‘do and she wears a heavy face of make-up.
GRISELDA, which won’t be released in Australia until January 2024, is inspired by the life of Colombian businesswoman Griselda Blanco, a devoted mother who created one of the most profitable cartels in history.

Sofia not only stars as the lead of the series, but she also produced the show, which has been in the works for the past eight years.
Sofia's first role since shock split
The new series comes after fans were left shocked when Sofia Vergara announced her divorce from Joe Manganiello in July, after seven years of marriage.
“We have made the difficult decision to divorce. As two people that love and care for one another very much, we politely ask for respect of our privacy at this time as we navigate this new phase of our lives,” the couple said in a statement to Page Six.
Speaking about her new single life with Entertainment Tonight, Sofia revealed she’s been well looked after by her friends.
"I’ve been lucky!" she said.
"People have been inviting me out, you know, trying to have fun. So, I’ve been going everywhere they invite me."
She also said she’s gone to more concerts in the last two months than she has in years.
