Hollywood A-lister unrecognisable after 'horrific' transformation for new role: 'Ugly'

Glen Powell fans have been left shocked after a new photo of the Twisters star in character for his new Hulu show, Chad Powers, was released. Many fans have taken to social media to share their thoughts on the new look, with many saying he looks "unrecognisable".

"Think fast, run fast. Glen Powell is #ChadPowers in Hulu’s new comedy series," ESPN said, sharing a photo of Glen as Chad, a character that real-life footballer Eli Manning first introduced in a sketch where he disguised himself as a college student to try out for a college football team.

The film follows a similar premise – hotshot quarterback Russ Holliday's (Powell) bad behaviour nukes his college football career, so he disguises himself as the talented and charming Chad Powers and tries out for a struggling Southern football team.

'What have they done to him?'

Fans were quick to share their thoughts on social media, with one Twitter user writing, "Bruh, Glen Powell looks unrecognisable as Chad Powers."

"So, He’s the Man?" another said, referencing Amanda Bynes' film She's the Man, where she plays a soccer player who isn't allowed to play on the boys' team after her team is dissolved, so she disguises herself as her twin brother and tries out for the team.

Many thought Glen looked like his Top Gun: Maverick co-star Tom Cruise, with one user writing, "Dang, I guessed Tom Cruise."

"Thought it was Tom Cruise at first glance lol," another said.

"Glen Powell disguised as Tom Cruise disguised as Chad Powers," a third joked.

"What have they done to him 😭," one sad fan wrote.

"That's the weirdest makeup I've ever seen for the nose, I'm not OK with it..." another said.

"Let’s cast this good-looking dude and make him look horrific," someone else said.

"Omg they turned him ugly," yet another fan added.

"Hats off to the special effects and makeup team for transforming a gorgeous man into a normal person," one Instagram user wrote.

"What did they do to him 😭," another said, clearly upset.

"Why does he look so bad? 😭," a third added.

"Who is responsible for this?" someone else who wants revenge questioned.
