Yahoo Lifestyle Hoda Kotb Didn't Hold Back Seeing Jenna Bush Hager's 'Titanic' Costume
Hoda Kotb and Jenna Bush Hager got into the Halloween spirit on the Today show, but Hoda has some thoughts about their looks.
The two were on hand to celebrate Today's annual "Halloween on the Plaza" special on October 31, and this year's theme was "VHS Rewind." As a nod to some of the most iconic movies of the last three decades, Hoda and Jenna got into character as Jack Dawson and Rose Dewitt Bukater from the Academy Award-winning film Titanic.
But before Hoda channeled her inner Leonardo DiCaprio for the cameras, she popped into the makeup room to see Jenna get her wig on and fully embrace the role played by Kate Winslet. In a video uploaded on Instagram, Hoda had quite a reaction to seeing her friend as a redhead.
"You look like her!" Hoda passionately exclaimed in the clip. "And I look like my Stephen Foster Middle School self."
Upon seeing Hoda's over-the-top reaction to Jenna's Halloween look, it didn't take long for fans to voice their own opinions.
"I love you ladies 💕🥰," one person wrote in the comments. "This year’s Today Show costumes were fantastic!" another agreed. "Jenna looks cute as Rose 🌹 Dawson this morning ❤️😂," a different viewer added.
Needless to say, Hoda and Jenna really do pull off Jack and Rose so well! And if that wasn't enough, Hoda had her own hilarious moment when she had her wig applied ahead of walking through Rockefeller Plaza.
"Oh my god, I feel like my seventh-grade self," she said in an Instagram clip posted by the Today show. "This is really sad! I do because when I was a kid, they chopped my hair off and it looked kind of like this on a good day. I feel like me... Oh my god, what's happening?"
If these two don't inspire you to get into your Titanic era, we don't know what will!
