Hilaria Baldwin Reveals the Plastic Surgery Procedure That Made Her Feel 'Ok'
Hilaria Baldwin is opening up about the insecurities that inspired her to get plastic surgery — and how that decision might affect her children going forward.
As Hilaria explained on the latest episode of The Baldwins, after giving birth to her seventh child with husband Alec Baldwin, she decided it was time for a breast lift.
“Since I was breastfeeding for so long, it was one of these things I decided to do, like, a little up,” she said, according to Page Six.
“I’ve been pregnant and/or breastfeeding for over a decade,” the 41-year-old added. “I think this is the first time that I’ve not been pregnant and/or breastfeeding since I’ve started having kid."
As Hilaria explained, she didn't feel like herself after the changes her body went through.
“It almost felt like my body wasn’t my body anymore because I was so used to my body being a certain way,” she said.
She wanted to get a breast lift “just to make [herself] feel OK, and that’s OK," she continued.
Even though Hilaria felt good about her choice, however, she did have some concerns about how the decision might influence her kids — particularly her eldest daughter, Carmen, now 11.
“Anytime I do something in the realm of vanity, I don’t want them to feel that they have to be a certain way,” she said. “And I want to try to protect Carmen because I’ve experienced a lot of self-doubt and listened to the criticism more than I should have.”
In addition to Carmen, Hilaria shares six other children with Alec, 67: Rafael, 9, Leonardo, 8, Romeo, 6, Eduardo, 4, María Lucía, 4, and Ilaria, 2.
