Here's How Simone Biles's Husband Talked About Her To His NFL Teammates After She Won A Bunch Of Medals At The Paris Olympics

Simone Biles might finally get to relax now that the 2024 Olympics are over, but her husband Jonathan Owens is just getting to work. Owens plays for the Chicago Bears, who are currently in the NFL preseason and are being featured on this year's season of the Hard Knocks documentary series on HBO.

Owens got special permission from the team to go to Paris to watch Simone compete (and win!), and when he got back, his coach started off the morning team meeting with a slideshow of photos of Biles posing with her newly-won Olympic medals (and of Jonathan in the crowd, cheering alongside Simone's parents).

Owens stood up as his teammates cheered for Biles, and his coach called for a speech.

"I just got off my flight, I had the honor of watching my wife get three gold medals," Owens said. "She's the most decorated American gymnast in history, so I got to see her make history. I'm blessed."

Later, Owens's teammate Jaylon Jones asked Jonathan about Simone's level of talent and fame. "So in the sports world, she's like LeBron and Jordan combined?" he asked, referencing LeBron James and Michael Jordan.

"In that world, since it's an individual sport, it's kinda like how Serena was," Owens answered. "You just dominate, and you expected to come out and dominate, and you keep doing it."

Jones also asked if Biles has taught Owens any "flips." "Man, we did a rope climbing contest, I'm like off in a whoopin'," Owens said. As a video played that showed him and Biles rope-climbing against each other, he described watching her easily beat him. "I look over at her, her legs are out 90 degrees...I made it like halfway up, and I'm like, 'Nah, stay in your lane.'"

I'm sure Biles would take the comparisons to LeBron, Michael Jordan, and Serena Williams, but let's face it: She's incomparable.
