Here's the Deal With Those Untrue Madison Bailey and Rudy Pankow Feud Rumors

Hello everyone wondering what on earth is going on with these Madison Bailey and Rudy Pankow feud rumors. Turns out...literally nothing.

To catch everyone up real quick, Outer Banks fans have become convinced that Madison and Rudy are locked in beef and even refused to film a cuddle scene together.

So...what's going on? According to a People source, Madison and Rudy "are not feuding, despite ongoing fan speculation." Got it!

But if you want even more proof that there's no drama to be found, Netflix dropped a video of Madison's emotional reaction to Rudy's character, JJ, being killed off Outer Banks at the end of Season 4. In the video, Madison says “We all read the character on the page and we know what you brought to it. And you turned it out and really made something of it and paid respect to the depth of the character while bringing a lightheartedness that the show desperately needed.”

Meanwhile, Outer Banks creators Josh Pate, Jonas Pate, and Shannon Burke told Netflix's Tudum that they'd always planned for JJ to die. Josh Pate explained that “It was a really hard decision because he’s such a great piece of the ensemble. It sets the stage for an epic fifth and final season. We’re planning a story of redemption, and a season that embodies the friendship that JJ had come to represent. JJ's death was a hard but necessary piece of the architecture for the story, and we plan on honoring that as much as we can because we love the character as much as the fans do. And Rudy’s a great friend of ours.”
