Heart’s Ann Wilson Reveals She Underwent Surgery For Cancer
Heart’s Ann Wilson — who, together with her sister, Nancy, announced in May that they were canceling their 2024 European summer tour — revealed that she recently underwent surgery for cancer.
In an Instagram post, Wilson said the “operation was successful & I’m feeling great but my doctors are now advising me to undergo a course of preventative chemotherapy & I’ve decided to do it.”

“And so my doctors are instructing me to take the rest of the year away from the stage in order to fully recover,” she continued. “To the ticket buyers, I really do wish we could do these gigs. Please know that I absolutely plan to be back on stage in 2025. My team is getting those details sorted & we’ll let you know the plan as soon as we can.”
In May, the sister duo explained the tour was canceled because Ann Wilson needed to “undergo a time-sensitive but routine medical procedure.” The tour was set to span various countries from June 20 through July 12 with special guest Squeeze.
Wilson then posted to her personal Instagram account, “I’m okay! Please don’t worry. I do apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. It’s certainly an inconvenience for me. Love & respect always, Ann.”
