Controversial designer and Instagram star Loni Jane Anthony has given birth and looks incredible

The self-described "earthling, designer, photographer, blogger, creative artist" who is famous for her adherence to the strict 80:10:10 diet, gave birth to baby Rowdy on March 2, and he weighed an impressive 3.9kg (or 8.7 pounds). And only twelve days later, in the perfect response to her critics who objected to her following the diet while pregnant, this is what she looks like:

What's the fuss all about? The 80:10:10 diet is a vegan eating plan in which 80 percent of the calories come from carbohydrates (mostly fruit and some veggies), 10 percent come from healthy fats, and the rest come from protein. Because it's a low-fat, low-calorie diet, reformed party-girl Anthony needs to eat a lot - she's known for eating 10 bananas or 2 whole pineapples just for breakfast.

A typical daily menu for Anthony, she says, might include a few “mono meals,” meaning one type of fruit, like oranges or bananas or watermelon; a smoothie; and for dinner, a large salad with tahini dressing—plus plenty of warm water with lemon.

Because of this, she was the object of public scorn when she announced she was pregnant three months ago - and that her diet wasn't changing. Comments like “narcissist in the extreme,” “too much sugar,” “self-absorbed moron,” “irresponsible,” “bad advice,” “hope she’s taking supplements,” “needs more protein,” and “I can’t see much there to help your baby grow” followed the announcement.

But the critics came out well before she was pregnant. Early this year told Yahoo Shine: “I've had a lot of judgment from people thinking I'm nuts and saying ‘Why is Loni eating 10 bananas for breakfast? Is she crazy?’ People tend to shut you out because you're not in the social circle of alcohol or drinking coffee ...They're in their comfort zones of eating junk and they don't want to be around someone who makes them feel guilty."

However, she did yield slightly and incorporate some cooked foods into her diet during pregnancy. She told her fans on her Tumblr page: "I adjusted it to how i felt during the length of my pregnancy. Some days all i wanted was just watermelon or cold juicy fruits and some days i wanted mashed potatoes and broccoli or just crispy salads. I was gentle with myself and just surrendered to my body and my baby and gave myself what i felt was needed at the time. I introduced more cooked foods for dinner (raw til 4 style) and added in a higher intake of plant fats like avo, hemp seeds, tahini, chia and coconut to name a few."

"Raw til 4" is, as the title suggests, eating only raw food until after 4pm.

She credited the diet to a stress-free pregnancy, telling her Instagram followers:
"I don't feel uncomfortable because I don't have excess swelling, fat or fluid retention, no nutritional deficiencies and my cardiovascular system works a treat even know I'm not working out often, and I have unlimited carbs from fruits, veggies, pasta, rice and potatoes to thank."

After announcing the birth of her son on social the response was far more supportive.
