New Zealand's Simone Anderson has struggled with her weight for years and in August 2014 she decided to make a change.

When she started to document her transformation on Facebook and Instagram, the hair and makeup artist received an army of social media supporters.

She regularly checks in with updates, sharing her progress. But the post below was met with some negativity.

“From 169kg to 83.85kg, I can’t even begin to explain in words what this accomplishment feels like," she wrote.

While the majority of the response was positive, not everyone believed Anderson's success.

So Anderson shut down her haters in the most wonderful way.

“Yes I have lose [sic] skin and stretch marks but I don’t feel the need to show them in every single photo I post online,” she wrote.

So far, the reaction to Anderson's response has been inspiring, with strangers donating over $4000 NZD to help her pay for surgery to remove her sagging skin. "I AM IN SHOCK!," she wrote on Facebook. "I cannot thank you enough - I am blown away and have had tears in my eyes all morning. THANK YOU!"
