Yahoo Lifestyle Head's Up: 'Secret Lives of Mormon Wives' Star Jen Affleck Is Pregnant
Despite the breakup rumors that have been circulating ever since The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives season 1 dropped, Jen and Zac Affleck are still going strong—and they're even growing their family. On February 11, the reality stars announced that they're expecting their third child together...though apparently, it was a total surprise.
"I was a few days late, and while it was a surprise, we both had a feeling there was another baby waiting for us," Jen revealed to People. "We were very excited. There were a lot of emotions after a very crazy year!"
That "crazy year" included a move to New York City and some marital strife (especially after the Hulu series thrust their relationship into the spotlight). As Jen told People, "Season 1 took a toll, not only on my marriage but also on my mental health. There were many dark days. There's so much more to our story than people realize."
Back in September, Jen addressed that infamous Chippendales fight between herself and Zac from season 1, telling Us Weekly that the argument that nearly broke them up was the "best thing to happen" to their relationship. According to Jen, "Being on camera and having those moments happen made us take a step back and actually look at a relationship and make us just see what we have to change."
But DW—even though she has another bb on the way (and just got her relationship back on track!), Jen confirmed that you can still expect to see her in season 2 of the series (which is set to debut on Hulu in May).
As she told People, "Filming can be incredibly mentally draining, and adding pregnancy along with all the challenges I faced this last season was a big challenge. After dealing with the backlash from season 1 and stepping into season 2 with a lot of baggage, this pregnancy has been the toughest."
She continued, "However, those moments, along with carrying this baby, have helped me realize what truly matters most."
