H&M is known for its on-trend seasonal approach, but it's fast becoming recognised for its work in ensuring that fashion remains responsible and sustainable.
This spring, much of its collection uses the innovative Agraloop Biofibre, which is a high-quality natural material made from food-crop waste. It works by recovering crop waste such as banana peels, pineapple leaves and plant stems, spinning them out and then turning them in to sustainable clothing, with a goal of reducing the environmental impact of fashion.
As well as being good for the environment, this collection looks great, and is easy on the wallet too. It's chic, minimal and based around neutrals. Here's how to travel into spring in style:
We predict this will become one of your most worn wardrobe items this spring. The oversized, double breasted trench is super chic, and extremely versatile.
It has a wide collar and notch lapels, shoulder tabs, voluminous raglan sleeves and a detachable tie belt at the waist. It's made from Agraloop biofibres from hemp waste and organic cotton, and a recycled polyester lining.
This ecru organic cotton denim dress is easy to wear throughout spring with a T-shirt underneath, or without as the weather gets hotter. It has a square neckline, an open back and wide shoulder cross straps. Perfect for picnicking or partying.
Super comfy and super cool, these ankle length pants are made from a woven wool blend. They have a high waist, low crotch, side pockets and wide legs. They come in beige, brown and black, and are ideal for cooler evenings or first forays back to the office.
The ultimate in understated chic, this calf length dress is made in a soft rib knit that contains some wool.
It has a scooped neckline, long sleeves and slits on either side of the hem which show just a little bit of leg.
We love it with flats for spring outings, or with heels and jewellery for a night out.
Up the ante with your shorts this season, and pop on these. They're made from a Tencel lyocell and organic linen weave so are soft with a slight stretch in the fabric.
They are knee length, and have a high waist, deep pockets and wide straight legs. Comfy, practical and stylish, they're a wardrobe no-brainer.
This matching pair can be worn separately or as a full outfit. They're both in an ecru sweat fabric which is made from Agraloop biofibres from hemp waste, organic cotton and recycled cotton.
The top is a cool relaxed fit that has dropped shoulders, wide armholes and a big pocket. The shorts have a high 'paper bag' waist, a rope style tie belt, and pockets.
Soft and comfy, they're great for hanging at home, or keeping it casual during the day.
Made from a Tencel lyocell and organic linen weave, this dress is perfect for chucking on when you make last minute plans. It has narrow, tie top shoulder straps, and the drawstring on one side gives it a ruched effect and an asymmetrical hem. Pull it up as high as you dare!
This soft knit is made from a viscose blend. Its wide arm holes and deep V neck means it can be worn straight, or off the shoulder. It has a ribbed trim, and looks great over pants, shorts or even thrown over a bikini at the beach.
