Happy 30th birthday, Halsey!

The "Ego" singer (who uses she/they pronouns) celebrated her 30th year around the sun on Sept. 29 with a party attended by her fiancé Avan Jogia and many other friends. Two days later, she posted a reflective note to Instagram about the highs and lows of the last decade of her life.

"My life has gone through inexplicable changes the past decade. Some beautiful and awe inspiring, some puzzling and painful," wrote Halsey, who was diagnosed with systemic lupus erythematosus and rare T-cell lymphoproliferative disorder over the last two years.

"But 30 came like those ten years never happened, (much like the beautiful birthdays back home in Jersey before I had ever heard of the name Halsey) SCREAMING in an Italian American heritage hall with the people I love," continued the caption, shared alongside many photos from the party, which included karaoke, cake and cigars.

"I thought the only reason I’d have all these people in a room with me at the same time would be because I was in a wooden box in the center, but there we were. With cake and crying and bare feet," said Halsey. "I don’t know how they did it. But they made all the noise of my twenties stop, and replaced it with joy."

The "Without Me" hitmaker then spoke about how "the stars" have given her two scary health-related instances in her life. "First, just before I turned 20. By challenging me with difficulty for years and then giving me life altering joy just as I slid into base, from 19," she said, seemingly referencing her 2016 endometriosis diagnosis.

"And now by giving me a twenties full of struggle turned lesson turned growth, and replacing it with JOY as I transition from 29 to 30," added the star. "And both times, that buzzer-beater joy is so strong that it settles the 9 years that came before it."

Halsey concluded the note by stating "this birthday is symbolic to me for many reasons," as will "every birthday until the end of time."

"I am so grateful to see them all arrive," she said. "Thank you for all the birthday wishes."
