Nowadays, more and more people are straying away from traditional weddings and instead doing what works best for the couple — because that's what it's really about.

I'm turning to my trusty friends of the BuzzFeed Community to find out from those who might've had an unconventional wedding: what did you do that made your wedding more on the unconventional side? Why did you do it? And do you have any regrets?

Maybe you ditched the traditional white wedding dress and instead had a themed wedding so you, your spouse, and all the guests wore unconventional outfits.

Perhaps you and your partner were inspired by Carrie and Big and opted to go to the courthouse to get married, followed by having lunch at a local diner.

Or maybe you decided to ditch the traditional wedding venues and instead married at a museum. If guests didn't want to bust a move on the dancefloor, they could walk around and admire the art.
