Grant says Bachelorette Ali 'cheated' with his best friend
She’s just been named as Australia’s newest Bachelorette after splitting from her Bachelor in Paradise love, Grant Kemp.
But after rumours began circulating that the pair split because the American wanted Ali to have a “threesome”, Grant has now come forward with his version of events.
The firefighter has denied the allegations, saying it was Ali who broke his heart when she cheated on him with his best friend.
“I don’t understand why she would do something like that,” Grant told New Idea. “She definitely had me fooled.”
He went on to describe how during her visit to his home in LA, he left her alone with some of his friends while he went outside, only to return and find her “hooking up” with his friend.
After apparently “kicking her out” he said Ali bombarded him with apology text messages but he wasn’t having any of it.
“That is literally one of the most disrespectful things you can do,” he said. “I’m still shocked by it.”
While Ali hasn’t spoken publicly about what caused their break up after Paradise, leaked messages between the show’s contestants shared in Woman’s Day claimed Ali was devastated when he asked her to let a third person into their bed.
Ali has since been named as Australia’s 208 Bachelorette.
She originally starred in the first season of the Bachelor in 2013, where she declared her love for Tim Robards before being sent home.
News she’ll be following in Sam Frost and Sophie Monk’s footsteps has been received with mixed reviews, with some declaring the show won’t “even be worth watching” on social media.
Even her former love interest Jarrod Woodgate has called her “boring” and aired concerns about her new role whilst chatting to Fitzy & Wippa.
Maybe it’ll be third time lucky for Ali.
