'Good Witch' Fans, Catherine Bell Revealed Surprise Hallmark Reunion News
In a surprise Good Witch fans didn't see coming, Catherine Bell has some exciting news to share!
The hit Hallmark series aired on the network for seven seasons, and the last time folks saw Catherine portray Cassie Nightingale was back in 2021. While she's not necessarily stepping back into her magical role, she is teaming up with former co-star James Denton for a sequel to Christmas on Cherry Lane, the holiday movie they worked on together back in 2023. According to TV Insider, the movie will be titled Happy Holidays from Cherry Lane and premieres on the newly-minted streaming site Hallmark+ on Thursday, December 12, 2024. What's more, Catherine already posted a first look of the movie with a photo of her and James on set.
"It’s official!!! 🎄🎅🏼," she excitedly wrote on Instagram on September 19. "Happy Holidays from Cherry Lane premieres Thursday, December 12th on @hallmarkplus 🎁. Find out how Nelson & Regina met! 🥰."
Upon seeing the surprise news from Catherine, Good Witch fans couldn't hold back their screams from the excitement of it all.
"Love them both ❤️. Excited to watch this movie!" one person wrote. "I am so excited to see you and James back together!!" another declared. "Outstanding — can’t wait 🙌👏," a different follower added.
For those curious about what Happy Holidays from Cherry Lane is about, Variety dropped an official synopsis from Hallmark. According to the outlet, the movie will follow three families in various time periods as they gather to celebrate the holidays. What's more, folks get to see how the families fare in various sticky scenarios, which hopefully will bring them closer together in one of the most festive times of the year.
And if you think Catherine and James are the only Hallmark stars in this movie, think again. Benjamin Ayres and Julie Gonzalo are also a part of the cast, playing a couple whose story about family takes place in the 1960s. (For the record, Catherine and James' timeline for their characters, Nelson and Regina, starts in 1998).
We're so thrilled and can't wait to see it!
