Gogglebox stars announced as newest I'm A Celeb contestants

With the fifth season of, I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here just around the corner Channel Ten has released the names of two more celebs up for the challenge.

And that is Gogglebox favourites Angie Kent and Yvie Jones.

The two friends – who quit Gogglebox in December – will find themselves on the other side of the screen on Sunday as they take on the jungle together in the season premiere.

And they couldn’t be more excited.

“I am a massive fan of watching celebrities do absurd things in the jungle but I never thought I would be one of those people doing it,” Angie told News.com, “I cannot wait to get up close and personal with Lady JMO and Dr Chris!”

“I cannot believe we have spent four seasons watching, laughing and commentating on this show from inside our living room and now we will be the ones being laughed at!” Yvie added.

Also among the group this year will be two politicians, an AFL champion, a celebrity chef and a red carpet regular according to Channel Ten – and given those clues, we’ve taken our best guesses.

Either way, we’re sure Australia will be glad that they haven’t seen the last of Gogglebox‘s two blonde bombshells.

When speaking of their reason to leave Gogglebox on Instagram last month, the pair revealed that it was due to the fact Angie doesn’t live in Sydney anymore.

After commuting back and forth during the last season Yvie revealed that it became too ‘expensive’ and ‘difficult’ for Angie to maintain.

“It just became really, really hard to do the logistics of being there. Last season she was coming and going and it was just way too difficult, she couldn’t afford it,” Yvie said during an Instagram live Q&A.

“We wanted to spread our wings but that doesn’t mean we don’t love Gogglebox. Because we do. There’s no hard feelings there,” she added.

And now we can’t wait to see the fellow Gogglebox reactions to these two on I’m a Celeb.
