Yahoo Lifestyle Girl designs classification card for new Sonic film
She may only be nine years old, but Ruby, from Leicester, has made it to the big screen through her love of painting.
Ruby won a competition to design the PG age card that will appear before Sonic the Hedgehog 3, which premiered in the UK on Tuesday.
She beat 1,300 other young artists with her design, featuring Sonic running across the British Board of Film Classification's (BBFC) image.
After her night at the premier, she said: "I met all the stars of the show. I loved it."
Jim Carrey Idris Elba, Keanu Reeves, and James Marsden were among the superstars spotted on a blue carpet, instead of the traditional red one.
"It was amazing seeing my artwork on the screen," Ruby added.
"I couldn't believe it. Everyone clapped, and I was very shy, but I loved it."
Her dad Scott said the premiere "was absolutely enormous with thousands of people there on the blue carpet".
Ruby entered the competition after she told her mum she wanted to enter an art competition, and the first one that came up was the BBFC's 'Create the Card'.
"Ruby wanted to enter a competition just a few weeks ago," Lydia said.
"She loves her art, and this 'Create the Card' competition was the first to come up, and because she happens to love Sonic as well, she was very enthusiastic about entering this one."
She went on to say that Ruby entered quite close to the deadline, but then Lydia got a phone call to confirm Ruby had won.
"I was getting on a bus when I got a phone call from Natasha Kaplinsky, who is president of the BBFC. I didn't quite take in who it was or what she said, so she had to repeat it!"
