“Ghost Adventures” Star Aaron Goodwin's Estranged Wife Victoria Seen in Court As Murder-for-Hire Trial Nears

Victoria Goodwin, the estranged wife of Ghost Adventures host Aaron Goodwin, appeared in court ahead of her trial in the alleged murder-for-hire attempt on his life.

On Tuesday, March 25, Victoria, 32, appeared in a Las Vegas courtroom before Judge Kristal Bradford for what was intended to be a preliminary hearing. However, Victoria’s attorney, David Brown, had it waived, News 3 LV reported.

Her next court appearance, a status check, is scheduled for April 8.

Victoria was taken into custody on March 6 on charges of soliciting to commit murder and conspiring to commit murder, according to inmate records in Clark County, Nev., reviewed by PEOPLE.

She is accused of conspiring to kill Aaron, 48, with the help of convicted murderer Grant Amato — allegedly going as far as discussing payments for the service.

Victoria reportedly began a relationship with Amato, 35, in March 2024 after seeing him in the Paramount+ true crime docuseries Ctrl + Alt + Desire, per a police report.

Amato was sentenced to three lifelong prison terms without the possibility of parole for fatally shooting his father Chad, mother Margaret and brother Cody after stealing $200,000 from his family.

Before their deaths, Amato was also prohibited from contacting a webcam model named Silvie, whom he met through a pornographic website and became infatuated with.

The alleged murder-for-hire plot involving Victoria and Amato was discovered when prison guards confiscated Amato's phone and sent it to the Florida Department of Corrections, per the police report.

In their text messages, the couple discussed "how much they are in love,” with Victoria saying "her husband 'FH' would not accept divorce."

She also asked Amato if she was a "bad person." When Amato questioned why she wondered that, Victoria replied: "Because I chose to end his existence. Not divorce."

Upon learning of the allegations, Aaron filed for divorce.

In court records obtained by PEOPLE, Aaron said "the views, tastes, likes and dislikes" of himself and his estranged wife have become "incompatible to the extent that it has become impossible for them to live together as husband and wife in marital harmony."

"There is no possibility of reconciliation between husband and wife," the complaint continued.

The former couple married in August 2022.

Over the weekend, the reality star thanked his fans for their support following the turbulent month he’s had.

"Thank you everyone for all the love and support through this emotionally trying time. It has really helped a lot and I appreciate you all,” Aaron wrote in an Instagram post shared on Saturday, March 22.
