'Wow, it works!': Genius cheese toastie hack goes viral

A genius egg, bacon and cheese toastie hack has gone viral on TikTok with more than 23 million views.

A chef, who goes by Al Dente Diva on TikTok shared the hack earlier this year, but it's since gone viral with many other TikTok users sharing their own version.

In the video, she says that she's seen the hack before and was "nervous to try" it.

First, she beats the eggs, then pours them into a nonstick pan. As they cook, she places two slices of bread directly into the egg, flipping each piece once so it's saturated with the egg.

Once it's cooked on one side, she flips it so that the eggs and bread are all flipped over.

She then adds a slice of cheese to each piece of bread and a few slices of cooked bacon. Then, she sees the spatula to flip the excess egg into the bread, then flips one piece of bread onto the other so it's a neat sandwich.

She finished, saying, "It worked!"

One user commented, "It's 12:11 at night, I'm in bed and now you've made me hungry."

Another added, "I just tried this, wow it works!" while someone else said, "Great idea! So simple... now why haven't I thought of this before?"

Many others commented that they would be trying the hack out immediately.
