Luckily for loyal viewers, the 42-year-old actor won't be gone for long; in fact, he's expected to be back on the show later this month. (No reason has been given for the brief hiatus.) In the meantime, they can still keep up with Lucky's storyline thanks to the return of GH alum Guy Wilson.

Wilson, known for playing Will Horton on Days of Our Lives from 2014 to 2015, will fill in as Lucky during Jackson's absence. In 2006, Wilson played a young version of Lucky’s late father, Luke, during a fantasy sequence.

This isn't the first time Jackson has stepped away from the fan-favorite character. While he originated the role of Lucky in 1993, he ended his initial run in 1999. Jacob Young took over the part next, followed by Greg Vaughan. Jackson returned to the show from 2009-11, then went on to revisit the role in 2015 and make yet another comeback last August.

Wilson, 39, left Days of Our Lives in 2015 after his character was murdered. Since then, he's appeared on series including S.W.A.T., Bosch: Legacy and NCIS: Los Angeles.

In Wilson’s first episode of GH, Lucky and his ex-wife Elizabeth are set to meet the love interest of their son Aiden (Colin Cassidy), according to Us Weekly. The actor playing Aiden's love interest, Tobias, has not yet been announced.
