Garrett Hedlund, Chris Diamantopoulos, Lawrence Kao, Katie Stevens Among 8 Cast In Ed Brubaker’s Prime Video Series ‘Criminal’
EXCLUSIVE: Ed Brubaker’s upcoming Prime Video series Criminal has added eight to its cast. Garrett Hedlund (Tulsa King), Chris Diamantopoulos (The Boys in the Boat), Lawrence Kao (Walker: Independence), Kyle Bradley Davis (It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia), Aina Brei’yon (Dark Matter), Robert Lee Hart (Chicago PD), Katie Stevens (The Bold Type), and John Pyper-Ferguson (Suits) have joined in recurring roles. Their character descriptions are being kept under wraps.
Criminal is an interlocking universe of crime stories based on the multi-Eisner Award-winning graphic novel series created by Brubaker and Sean Phillips.

The eight join previously announced Emilia Clarke, Luke Evans, Gus Halper, Charlie Hunnam, Richard Jenkins, John Hawkes, Adria Arjona, Logan Browning, Kadeem Hardison, Pat Healy, Taylor Sele, Aliyah Camacho, Michael Mando, Marvin Jones III, Michael Xavier and Dominic Burgess.
Criminal is an interlocking universe of crime stories based on the multi-Eisner Award-winning graphic novel series created by Brubaker and Sean Phillips.
Ryan Fleck and Anna Boden direct the first four episodes. The series is executive produced by Brubaker and Jordan Harper, who will serve as showrunners, alongside Phillips, Sarah Carbiener and Philipp Barnett. Legendary Television will also serve as an executive producer. The series is produced by Amazon MGM Studios.
Hedlund can currently be seen in Paramount+’s Tulsa King, and he has wrapped production on Evan ARi Kelman-directed Barron’s Cove, which will premiere at the Hamptons International Film Festival this October. He’s repped by WME, Brillstein Entertainment Partners and Sloane, Offer, Weber and Dern.
Diamantopoulos was recently seen in Red Notice, The Boys in the Boat and Mrs. Davis, and will next be seen starring in Amazon’s The Sticky. He’s repped by Untitled, Paradigm and Goodman Genow.
Kao, known for his series regular roles in CW’s Walker: Independence and Netflix’s Wu Assassins, as well as its spin-off film Fistful of Vengeance, is repped by Ellis Talent Group and Chris Roe Management.
Stevens led the cast of The Bold Type for five seasons on Freeform, and can be seen in the Eli Roth-produced film Haunt, among other credits. She’s repped by Greene Talent and Stride Management.
Davis, best known for his role as Lil’ Kevin on It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, will be seen next on the upcoming Netflix limited series American Primeval. He’s repped by Monica Barkett at Global Artists Agency.
Pyper-Ferguson, known for his roles on Suits, The Last Ship, The 100 and indie film Burning Kentucky, is repped by TalentWorks.
Known for her roles in Dark Matter and Power Book IV: Force, Brei’yon is repped by LE Creative Group and Kreativ Media Partners.
Hart, whose credits include roles on FBI and Chicago PD, is repped by SDB Partners and Strike up the Brand.
