Former Today weatherman Steven Jacobs' shock career move
He left his role as weatherman on the Today show in 2019 after close to 15 years with the team and now Steven Jacobs has made another career move.
Taking to his Instagram account, the 55-year-old revealed he has left his role as host of Breakfast With Stevie Jacobs on 2UE after a change in management.
“Sadly this is my last day hosting classic music on 2UE. The station has been leased to another company who is changing the format but I have had an absolute blast, learned so much about music and have improved ratings by 176% since I started,” he wrote.
“Huge thanks to everyone who has tuned in and best of luck to the new station moving forward. Keep on rocking.”

Channel Nine’s Today show caused a ruckus in 2019 when they axed a number of cast from the show, which included Steven, who was replaced by Sydney reporter Tim Davies.
“They got rid of almost everyone. It’s another bloodbath,” a source told news.com.au at the time.
Speaking at the time, Steven said: “Today has been my home for almost 15 years and I love the program and my colleagues dearly.
“Sadly I can’t commit to the future travel requirements of the job and have to put my beautiful daughters first.”
Steven is dad to two girls, Isabella and Francesca, with his ex-wife Rosie Jacobs whom he met on the set of the morning show.
Brooke Boney is the only person from the revamped 2019 line-up to remain, holding down her role as the entertainment reporter in 2020.
