Former Big Brother host Gretel Killeen is unrecognisable now

Former Big Brother host Gretel Killeen was all over our TV screens once upon a time, but the presenter and comedian is now all about her art, which she regularly shares on Instagram.

The 57-year-old beauty forgoes dyeing her hair these days and is sporting a salt and pepper locks.

Gretel has been painting up a storm this year, especially during lockdown, with her followers raving over her skills.

The presenter was the first celebrity contestant to be unmasked on The Masked Singer Australia last year with judge Lindsay Lohan unaware of who Gretel was.

“Oh my God, I don’t believe it, it’s Gretel Killeen!” bellowed host Osher Gunsberg as the homegrown members of the panel cheered.

Lindsay, however, couldn’t hide the fact that she clearly had never heard of the ‘TV host, author, comedian, host of Big Brother, star of the Rocky Horror Show’ before in her life.

The 33-year-old New York City native’s blank expression wasn’t lost on fans at home either, and many took to social media to roast her reaction.

“Lol, Lindsay is like ‘huh who the f is that?!’ HAHA” wrote one on Instagram.

“*Mask is on* LiLo: ‘I have no idea! Who is it?’ *Mask comes off* LiLo: ‘I have no idea! Who is it?’” joked another.

Gretel hosted Big Brother from 2001 to 2007 but was replaced in 2008 by KIIS FM's Kyle Sandilands and Jackie 'O' Henderson.

While it was rumoured Gretel would return this year for the 2020 reboot, Sonia Kruger took on the role, after previously hosting in 2012.
