Get a First Look at This Summer's 'Outlander' Prequel 'Blood of My Blood'
Outlander: Blood of My Blood, the prequel to the epic love story of Jamie (Sam Heughan) and Claire Fraser (Caitríona Balfe), will be centered on two other epic love stories set centuries apart but both based on characters created by bestselling author Diana Gabaldon.
First is the love connection between Jamie’s parents, Brian Fraser (Jamie Roy) and Ellen MacKenzie (Harriet Slater), which takes place 20 years prior to the start of Outlander. The second will explore the lives and relationships of Julia Moriston (Hermione Corfield) and Henry Beauchamp (Jeremy Irvine) in WWI England.
As their love stories unfold across time, these two couples must fight against loyalty, desire, passion and destiny to defy the forces that seek to tear them apart as their love stories unfold across time.
In addition to Claire’s parents, Julia and Henry, and Jamie’s parents, Brian and Ellen, the ensemble cast of Outlander: Blood of My Blood features characters familiar to the Outlander universe. The ensemble includes Murtagh Fitzgibbons Fraser (Rory Alexander), Colum MacKenzie (Séamus McLean Ross), Dougal MacKenzie (Sam Retford), Ned Gowan (Conor MacNeill) and Simon Fraser, Lord Lovat (Tony Curran).
