First look at Chris Brown's new renovation show set to rival The Block
Fans have said they 'can't wait' for the series to air later this year.
Channel Seven has unveiled the first look at their brand new competition renovation series set to rival Channel Nine’s ratings juggernaut The Block.
Dream Home, which is hosted by former I’m A Celebrity host Dr Chris Brown, is based on the successful New Zealand series of the same name which aired from 1999 to 2013.
The reality show will follow six pairs of everyday Aussies as they design and rebuild each other’s outdated and run-down houses and transform them into incredible new dream homes.
In addition to receiving their own dream home, the winning couple will also receive a cash prize of $100,000.
The show will feature a trio of expert judges alongside host Dr Chris Brown - Lana Taylor of Three Birds Renovations, award-winning interior designer Rosie Morley, and top buyer’s agent Simon Cohen - and is produced by Endemol Shine Australia.

The brand new trailer for Dream Home teases that while “the ‘Great Australian Dream’ has never felt so far away, no dream is too big”.
Chris Brown is shown telling couples from all over the country that they have been selected to compete on the show and will therefore be receiving their dream home.
“The greatest transformations Australia has ever seen,” Chris says in a voiceover. “When they take off their blindfolds, what they see is beyond their wildest dreams.”
Fans praise 'heartwarming' new series
After the teaser video was shared on social media this week, fans quickly took to the comments to express their excitement.
“This is going to be so beautiful and heartwarming, just what we need,” one person wrote, while another added, “Look forward to watching this new show for Dr Chris”.
“This looks awesome,” a third wrote, followed by someone else who replied, “Can’t wait to see it all unfold!”
“Just cried watching the trailer to this yet-to-be-viewed show. Not because I'm yet to have my dream home, no because this show has already touched me to the core. Can't wait to see it,” a different user shared.
Scott Cam shares his thoughts on Dream Home
Following the show’s announcement in August last year, The Block host Scott Cam shared his honest thoughts on the rival series with Yahoo Lifestyle.
“Stay off my turf, Browny!” he joked, adding, “Chris is a great mate of mine and good luck to him.
“Competition is healthy and if his show rates reasonably well, that means that people are still interested in this style of television. As soon as they stop watching other shows or our show, then that's the end of that style.”

Scott went on to say that he’d never wish “bad luck” on anyone making TV because he knows firsthand how hard it is to do.
“We don't want them to beat us, of course, if they go head to head, but we don't want them to dismally fail,” he continued. “I know what it’s like.”
