Yahoo Lifestyle Federico Cina Puts a Yellow Filter on His Fashion for Spring 2025
Broom flowers and their yellow color led the crowded pool of references inspiring Federico Cina this season. The designer saw in the delicate appearance of the botanical element and its resilience in surviving in inhospitable places a tension he wanted to imbue into his collection, which combined graphic lines and structured fabrics with softer textures and details enhancing movement.
Womenswear shined brighter in the coed lineup, with cotton dresses, wide pleated skirts and balloon options oozing everyday nonchalance. Feminine floral prints and applied fringes running on frocks or peeking from a rigid double-breasted coat added dynamism and a dash of eccentricity to the range.

Such elements were reprised also in the male lineup, which had a sleeker approach to silhouettes as it played with body-hugging knits, slim leather tailoring and occasional colorblocking.
Yet tracking Cina’s journey and grasping the real identity of his brand comes with a challenge, for each of his shows reveal a different approach and facet of his fashion. Although it had some pretty pieces, this collection veered from Cina’s languid feel and rustic touch of the beginnings and that originally seemed to become his distinctive trait.
The designer here also opened up his knitwear- and tailoring-centric world to sporty influences for the first time, with a little help of a tie-up with Umbro. The collaboration resulted in garments in technical fabric and logoed sneakers that completed Cina’s polished looks, but the pairing felt a tad too forced.
