February's Full Moon Will Bring Many Twists and Turns for These 3 Zodiac Signs — but Not in the Way You'd Expect

Calling all lunar lovers!

Rising two days before Valentine's Day, this month's full moon reaches peak illumination at 5:53 a.m. PT on Feb. 12 this year.

Despite its nickname the Snow Moon, the month's lunation is sure to bring the heat as it radiates in the zodiac sign of Leo and places attention on our "heart's desires." The effects of February's full moon will be felt significantly at its peak, in addition to the days surrounding it.

When looking at astrological aspects that are coloring this period in time, celebrity astrologer Kyle Thomas says "there will be many" to consider. "This could be a very challenging, shocking and surprising full moon," he says, adding "one that tips well for some and brings hurdles to others."

This is because the full moon is exactly in a square with Uranus (the planet of chaos), which Thomas says may cause "rapid mood changes" and have us feeling "irritable, erratic and impulsive." He adds, "We will find it difficult to be steady and focused as we hunger for stimulation and excitement."

The full moon is also opposite Mercury, which Thomas says may "make it hard to balance our intellect and emotions and we could find ourselves scattered all over the place." As for the other planets, he considers them "sweetly aligned."

Venus sextile Pluto will bring "passion and intensity to our relationships," Thomas says, while Mars is trine Saturn, which can "bring long-term success and perseverance if we are to be slow, methodical and strategic in our personal or professional lives."

Overall, Thomas advises that we "breathe through" some of the wild energy. "You could find things work well for you in the long run," he says.

Aries (March 20-April 19)

Unleash your passions, Aries! "The Snow Moon will electrify your heart and spirit," says Thomas.

"This is one of the best times in the year to recharge your love batteries, so if single, get out there and mingle!" he suggests. "Committed Aries can enjoy a whirlwind romance with their sweetheart, so make plans for a special date night."

Taurus (April 19-May 20)

Get cozy, Taurus. "The Snow Moon will be encouraging you to snuggle up at home over a romantic candlelit dinner," says Thomas.

"Some may be in the process of moving, changing their living space up or even hosting a dazzling home event," he adds. "If you’d like to make any changes to your home in the year to come, now would be a perfect time to go shopping."

Gemini (May 20-June 20)

Speak your truth, Gemini! "The Snow Moon is turning up the volume on your thoughts, ideas and words... People’s ears are perking up to hear what you have to say," says Thomas.

"Some Gemini could be in the process of releasing a milestone writing, speaking, advertising or communications-related endeavor," he adds. "A contract may pop up for you to sign, too."

If you need a change of pace, Thomas says to "be a tourist in your town" and enjoy!

Cancer (June 20-July 22)

Wealth is calling your name, Cancer! "The Snow Moon is bringing a bountiful shift to your finances," predicts Thomas.

"A new job, raise, side hustle or large check could manifest before your eyes," he says. "However, don’t just get complacent and wait for it to come to you. Get on the prowl to become rich!"

Leo (July 22-Aug. 22)

Step into the spotlight, Leo! "Treat this week like you’re on the runway," says Thomas.

"The Snow Moon will ignite your spirit and give you the courage to roar louder than ever before. A major personal goal, dream or hope could now be within reach," he continues. "Work toward what sets your soul on fire and it will very easily be yours."

Virgo (Aug. 22-Sept. 22)

Did you hit snooze (again and again), Virgo? "It’s time for a spa day. Bust out your mud masks, lotions and scented candles because it’s time to treat yourself!" says Thomas.

Libra (Sept. 22-Oct. 22)

Life is vibrant now, Libra! "Light off the fireworks because you’re the main event," says Thomas.

This lunation could also affect you by drawing attention to your wealth, assets and investment portfolio," he adds. "See if there’s any way to maximize your flow to gain mega bucks!"

Aquarius (Jan. 19-Feb. 18)

Make up your mind, Aquarius. "The Snow Moon will bring a major focus to your partnerships and relationships," says Thomas.

"Happy unions will grow closer in the form of making long-term plans, moving in, getting engaged or being wed," he adds. "However, if there’s friction, you may instead decide it’s time to move on."

Pisces (Feb. 18-March 20)

You’re on a roll, Pisces! "Prepare to be quite busy," says Thomas.

"The Snow Moon is energizing you to assess your work-life balance and streamline your productivity. A major milestone professional project may now be getting finished up or you may end up leaving one job to head to the next," he predicts.

If unemployed, Thomas says "the stars are now in favor to see a change." He adds, "Since the Snow Moon may make you feel a bit tired, take a moment to assess your health and fitness."
