The Queen of Pop rules the Jubilee Concert

The Queen of Pop has performed for the the Queen of England in a risque pearl-and-leather costume at the Jubilee Concert, held in the grounds of Buckingham Palace.

Kylie Minogue, 44, took to the stage wearing a leather jacket, a pearl-encrusted playsuit and matching hat, supposedly a nod to London's working class.

The pint-sized popstar's costume was short enough to please the legion fans of her famous hotpants.

12000 lucky punters won tickets to the Jubilee Concert in a ballot, and an estimated 250000 people crowded into Pall Mall, St James's Park and Hyde Park to watch the gig on big screens.

The Queen was joined in the royal box by her grandsons Princes William and Harry, the Duchess of Cambridge (who a blue Alexander McQueen blazer and a blue and purple patterned Whistles dress), and UK Prime Minister David Cameron and and his wife Samantha.

Robbie Williams opened the concert, which featured music from every decade of the Queen's reign, with his hit 'Let Me Entertain You', whil Madness played 'Our House' from the the Buckingham Palace roof.

The formidable Grace Jones sported the most revealing outfit of the evening, a red and black bodysuit. The statuesque 64-year-old singer trended worlwide as she managed to sing and hula hoop simultaneously.

Other permormers to grace the stage included Sirs Cliff Richard, Elton John and Paul McCartney, plus Jessie J and JLS.

The only dampener on the evening was the absence of Prince Philip, who was admitted to hospital before the concert with a bladder infection.
