Giuliana Rancic stuns on the Golden Globes red carpet in Australian designer Alex Perry

She may have access to some of the biggest designers in the world, but once again Giuliana Rancic has proved her love of Australian designers by opting for an Alex Perry number for the 2016 Golden Globe awards.

The star caused gasps from the crowd when she appeared on the red carpet on Monday wearing a burnt orange, cut-out, floor-length Perry creation.

Rancic stunned as she paired the show-stopping gown with Forevermark jewels and a gold pair of Manolo Blahnik stilettos.

The 41-year-old E! presenter and TV personality made sure all eyes were on her as she wore her chic, long bob in messy waves and kept her make-up to a minimum, preferring to let the bright dress take centre stage.

Giuliana is no stranger to Australian designs, having worn a similar-coloured Perry creation to the 2014 Grammy Awards and the 2014 American Music Awards.

She also showed her support for Adelaide-based designer Paolo Sebastian at the 2014 Oscars, where she suffered a wardrobe malfunction when the zipper broke.

Speaking after the 2014 Academy Awards Giuliana expressed her obsession with Australian designers.

"I'm all about Australian designers right now," she gushed when asked about her choice of attire.

"I feel princess-y — a girl deserves to feel like a princess once in a while."
