Farmer Wants a Wife 2021: Meet the farmers and their ladies

Love is once again in the country air as a new batch of handsome farmers set out to find their soulmates on a fresh season of Farmer Wants A Wife.

In 2021, farmers Will, Matt, Sam, Andrew and Rob will put their best (Blundstone-clad) foot forward under the watchful eye of host Natalie Gruzlewski, who is back to play cupid in her 10th season.

Each farmer begins his six-week search for love by inviting eight smart, beautiful and single women to join them on a series of speed dates.

Five lucky ladies will be chosen to visit their beau's farm, but there's a twist — one woman will be given a full 24 hours of alone time with her chosen farmer before the others arrive.

Below, meet the five farmers and their ladies ahead of the season premiere at 7pm on Sunday, July 4.

Farmer Andrew

Age: 30

From: Delegate, NSW

Cheeky, footy-loving sheep farmer Andrew hopes to either be married or engaged and have a few kids in five years' time. He says he's easy-going but admits he's 'not too good' at opening up about his feelings.

Spoiler alert: Channel Seven has already revealed that farmer Andrew did find love on the show but the woman's identity is still under wraps.

Instead, they narrowed it down to just three ladies: retail store manager, Ashleigh (28, QLD), community relations manager, Jess (27, VIC) or social worker Rachael (30, NSW).

Farmer Sam

Age: 25

From: Canowindra, NSW

Sheep and crop farmer Sam is a self-described romantic who is seeking an authentic and honest woman who'll share his passion for farming and adventure. One of seven siblings, Sam is very family-orientated and is keen to have children of his own 'when the time is right'.

Farmer Matt

Age: 26

From: Orbost, VIC

Matt, a fourth-generation cattle and fodder farmer, describes himself as 'affectionate, caring and honest' when it comes to love. He's looking for a woman who has a 'great personality, loves a laugh and is family-oriented'.

Matt's a bit of a romantic, having treated a previous girlfriend to a sunset picnic on his grandparent's hill overlooking his family farm.

Farmer Rob

Age: 40

From: Snowy Mountains, NSW

Rob is a sheep and cattle farmer and dad of two who is ready to put himself out there again to find his soulmate. Before taking up farming full-time, Rob travelled the world and is looking for someone 'confident, honest and optimistic'.

Farmer Will

Age: 39

From: Longwood, VIC

Sheep and cattle farmer Will once flew to Europe for a girl but says it's been a long time since he's been in a relationship. He says he's a 'firm believer' in love despite not having experienced it all that often.

While last year's season only resulted in two couples, Farmer Wants A Wife is still one of the most successful reality TV dating shows around.

The Aussie version has produced more ‘happy-ever-afters’ than any other TV dating show, with nine marriages and 20 babies so far.

Internationally, 147 marriages have taken place and there have been a whopping 280 babies born as a result.

Farmer Wants A Wife premieres 7.00pm Sunday, July 4 on Channel 7 and 7plus.
