Fans Praise Lainey Wilson for 'Iconic' Clap Back to Online Troll's Mean Comment
Fan-favorite country singer Lainey Wilson proved that she has a great personality to match her fantastic singing voice as she took on an online troll's mean comment with an "iconic" response.
Wilson uploaded a new video on Instagram replying to someone who wrote, "Dances better then [sic] she sings. Maybe stick with that instead." In the clip, the 32-year-old jokingly said, "Thank you, brother," before showing off some of her great dance moves.
She said, "I've been working on this," before dropping to the floor for a unique move, adding, "What about that? Do you like that?" Someone behind the camera could be heard trying to hold in their laughter as Wilson concluded her dancing and said, "God bless you," before ending the video.
Fans loved the cheeky video, with many complimenting Wilson, who one dubbed an "Iconic Queen 👑👑👑," on her moves, such as someone who wrote, "Well done, Lainey 🤣👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻. The perfect reply 👏🏻👏🏻."
TV host Allison Hagendorf commented, "Just when I thought I could not love you any more than I do. I am head over heels."
Quite a few fans referenced the Olympics and the viral Australian breakdancer Raygun, with comments like, "I mean you probably could’ve won the Olympics 🤷🏼♂️," and "Raygun been real quiet since this dropped."
Another said, "Please respond to all mean comments with this level of sass 😂."
When she's not joking around and having fun with fans, Wilson is gearing up for the release of her new album called Whirlwind. It is set to drop on Aug. 23, and it will be Wilson's fifth studio album.
The singer released the lead single called "Hang Tight Honey" in May, raising anticipation for the new album, which also includes a collaboration with fellow country singer Miranda Lambert called "Good Horses."
