Fans Overwhelmed by 'Beautiful' Moment of Princess Kate Embracing Teen Battling Cancer in Rare Outing

Kate Middleton recently announced that she is cancer-free following months of chemotherapy treatment, and now she's making sure to use her strength to help others.

In one of her first outings since he finished treatment for an undisclosed type of cancer, the Princess of Wales met with 16-year-old Liz, who was diagnosed with desmoplastic small round cell tumor in January.

Liz, an aspiring photographer, was invited with her family to meet Kate and Prince William at Windsor Castle, where they all posed together for a photo shared to the Prince and Princess of Wales' Instagram account on Wednesday, Oct. 2.

In one of the photos, Kate, 42, embraced the teenager, who was given between six months and three years to live after being diagnosed with the aggressive and rare form of cancer, according to the BBC.

In the caption of their Instagram post on Wednesday, Kate and William wrote, "A pleasure to meet with Liz at Windsor today. A talented young photographer whose creativity and strength has inspired us both."

"Thank you for sharing your photos and story with us. ❤️," they added in the post, while fans took to the comments to commend the royals for giving the young woman a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

"I’m sure she and her family will never forget this day with the future King and Queen," one user wrote under the post.

Someone else commented, "Liz is such a young talented girl 💞. Sending strength to her and her family ❤️."

Other fans were overjoyed to see the princess out and about again after she spent several months privately fighting her own cancer battle.

"So lovely to see HRH easing back into engagements!!! ❤️," one follower gushed, adding that Kate was "looking beautiful and classy as ever."

"We missed you so much Catherine 🥹🩷" another user wrote.
