Gigi Hadid's mum Yolanda Foster and stepdad David Foster have split up

Poor Gigi Hadid, no wonder she's been turning to Zayn Malik for comfort, as we hear her mum Yolanda Foster and stepdad David Foster have split up!

The couple - who have been married for four years - announced their break up in a joint statement released to People magazine.

"Sadly we have decided to go our separate ways. We've shared nine beautiful and joyous years together," it read. "During that time we experienced love, friendship and the inevitable challenges that come with managing a marriage, careers, blended families and health issues."

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Yolanda, 51, who is battling Lyme disease, was previously married to Gigi's father Mohamed Hadid from 1994 to 2000, and they have three children together including, Gigi, Bella and Anwar.

Meanwhile, music producer David, 66, has five children from his three marriages to Linda Thompson, Rebecca Dyer, and B.J. Cook.

Yolanda was diagnosed with Lyme disease in 2012 and it has been claimed this is one of the reasons their marriage failed.

"She didn't think he was there for her," a source told Us Weekly.

It is not yet clear if either David or Yolanda has filed for divorce.
