Ex-girlfriend defends Dave Grohl amid love child, cheating scandal

A woman who says she dated Dave Grohl in the 1990s has entered the chat in the wake of the cheating scandal that rocked the music world earlier this week.

Jennifer Finch, who was reportedly linked to the Foo Fighters frontman roughly 30 years ago, has come to his aid following his admission of infidelity and fathering a child out of wedlock.

Amid widespread backlash aimed at the artist many believed to be “the nicest man in rock,” Finch extolled his virtues as a “top tier dad and friend.”

The member of L.A. punk band L7 told TMZ on Thursday that Grohl is doing everything he can to make amends with his wife of 21 years, Jordyn Blum, and their three daughters: Violet, 18, Harper, 15, and 10-year-old Ophelia.

Finch claims to have remained close with Grohl since their dating days, and told the outlet she has first-hand knowledge of his family dynamic since she toured with the Foo Fighters recently.

The 55-year-old “Rescued” rocker made the shocking announcement on Tuesday that he cheated on his wife and fathered a daughter with another woman.

“I’ve recently become the father of a new baby daughter, born outside of my marriage,” he wrote on Instagram. “I plan to be a loving and supportive parent to her. I love my wife and my children, and I am doing everything I can to regain their trust and earn their forgiveness.”

The former Nirvana drummer didn’t offer up further details about the identity of his mistress.

Following the big reveal, insiders said Grohl had retained a divorce attorney prior to making the bombshell announcement.
