Every parent can relate to Carrie Bickmore's new mum struggles

It’s been one month since Carrie Bickmore welcomed her third child and she’s celebrating the milestone by getting very honest about life with a newborn.

In a candid Instagram post, The Project host went through a checklist of things she’d experienced since baby Adelaide was born, and unsurprisingly, sleep wasn’t one of them.

As just about every new parent can relate to, she listed arguments, feeling overwhelmed, mastitis and plenty of tears, as well as “struggle with existing three-year-old” among some of the more difficult things she’s had to negotiate.

But of course “cuddles” and “bursting with love and gratitude” also made the cut.

Carrie’s words, which were posted alongside a cute breastfeeding photo, attracted hundreds of positive comments from parents, including a couple of high profile ones.

Model, actress and mum-of-two, Megan Gale, wrote, “Hang in there Mama Bear.. you’ve done this.. you’ve GOT this.”

“These first 12 weeks seem like an eternity but you KNOW when you look back it will seem like it all happened in a blink of an eye. Enjoy the teeny baby snuggles as much as you can through bleary eyes.”

Meanwhile celebrity trainer Tiffany Hall agreed that, “Nothing is as hard as those first 12 weeks. Nothing!”
