Euphoria Might End With Season 3, HBO Drama Boss Hints
High school canât last forever, and Euphoria might be ready to graduate.
The upcoming (and much-delayed) third season of HBOâs acclaimed teen drama may be its last, the networkâs head of drama Francesca Orsi tells our sister site Deadline. âWeâve talked about it, I donât think anything is over until itâs over, but itâs been discussed that this is the end,â Orsi admits. But she thinks fans âwill be very satisfied with this season, and how we bring each of the charactersâ whole narrative.â

Euphoria stars Emmy winner Zendaya as Rue Bennett, a recovering drug addict who struggles to stay sober while attending high school in California. Along with Zendaya, the cast features rising stars like Sydney Sweeney and Jacob Elordi, so itâs understandably been difficult to coordinate everyoneâs schedule to shoot a new season.
Season 2 last aired in February 2022, so weâre expected to see a time jump when Euphoria returns for Season 3, with the cast now out of high school. Since it last aired, cast member Barbie Ferreira (aka Kat) announced her exit, and Angus Cloud (who played Fez) tragically died of a drug overdose. The eight-episode Season 3 â which began filming earlier this month â is slated to premiere on HBO in 2026.
